Our Team
We are FTC Team 7159, an entirely student-run FIRST® Tech Challenge team from Canyon Crest Academy. FIRST® Tech Challenge or FTC is a student robotics competition held by FIRST®. Our team has been running for about 11 years, built 15 robots, and has making an international impact on STEM education for the past 7 years. All of this has been done without ever mandating a fee for participation on the team.
What is FIRST? FTC?
For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology or FIRST® is an international organization that runs robotics programs for students of all ages. FIRST prepares young people for the future through a suite of life-changing youth robotics programs that build skills, confidence, and resilience.
FTC or FIRST® Tech Challenge is a robotics competition which teams compete in an alliance format using robots build from a standardized set of parts. Teams design their robot to fulfill the tasks needed to be completed by the competition
